Quick and Easy Pizza Dough

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Fermentation Time: 2 hours

  • 1/3 cup warm water, 90 degrees F 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
    1/2 teaspoon sugar
    3 cups all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon Aurora Fine Sea Salt

    1 cup water , room temperate

    3 tablespoons Aurora Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    Serving Ideas: This dough recipes makes one large pan pizza approzeimely 16 x 22 inches.
    Diveid for smaller pizzas.

  • Add yeast and sugar to the 1/3 cup of warm water and stir to dissolve. Let sit for 5 minutes to activate the yeast.

    Add the four and salt to a large bowl. Stir to incorporate. Make a well in centre then add yeast-sugar mixture and remaining cup of water. Mix with the opposite end of a wooden spoon or dough whisk.

    When dough starts coming together, add the oil and continue to mix until well combined. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead for around 5 minutes until smooth, soft and not sticky. Add more flour if dough is too sticky.

    Grease a large bowl with a little extra virgin olive oil and place dough into the bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 60-90 minutes. Punch down the dough, cover and allow to rise for a second time. At this point you can divide into smaller dough balls. After the second rise, your dough is ready to use.

    Lightly grease the pizza pan with lard or shortening and stretch out the dough. Top as you see fit and cook until desired doneness. Enjoy!

    Yield: 1 large pizza dough
